Property Description

Traditional house in the Starra Planina mountains (Old Mountains, or Balkan Mountains), in Bulgaria. The house is bordering a river, (close enough to hear), and in a village which has a population of around 16. There are also several other rivers/streams within 400 meters from the house. The whole area is forested and many different walks are possible.

The house has its own barn, cellar (with some empty wine barrels), and an out-house (summer kitchen) containing 2 rooms, with fireplace. It also has a garden with trees and vegetables. The main house has 3 rooms and a hall. We have arranged (and paid for) someone in the village whom you may contact for any information, help, or emergency. This person can also do your laundry free of charge. Reductions are possible for long lets of 4 weeks or more. Please enquire. The house is available all winter, and plenty of snow is guaranteed!

Area Description

This area is in the most attractive and sought after part of the country, (around 20km South of Veleiko Turnovo). The lane has tarmac, has little traffic, (less than one car an hour), and is accessible in winter as well. (It is regularly cleared of snow).

Fishing is possible, and fishing rods supplied if requested. Ideal for painting, fishing, walking/trecking and exercising.

Magnificent views of the mountains and meadows.
