Property DescriptionGeneral info : Maritsa and Borovets are an ideal base for hiking and mountain biking and both are well located on the Rila National Park border. There are many marked trails, with mountain refuges for the adventurous. Mountain bikers can use the chair lift at Borovets. The country features spectacular alpine scenery, river gorges and meadows. The Rila and Samokov Hotels have large, clean indoor swimming pools and gymnasiums at very cheap rates for non-guests. There is a modern well equipped English speaking 24 hour medical centre and dentist at Borovets. There is an English speaking pharmacy in Borovets and several others in Samokov. There is a large, new supermarket in Samokov(10 minutes by car) selling all the items of food etc that you should need for a holiday. Borovets has several mini-markets. Samokov has an open air food market for local fresh produce, every day, as well as several banks, pharmacies and a post office.The food is excellent, very cheap and plentiful and there is a large selection of good Bulgarian wines, spirits and beers available at reasonable prices.

It is 18 km from Borovets - Eighteen-hole golf course by Nicklaus Design Practice facility with six short Par 3 holes and short 9 game area Club House and Restaurant, Whisky Bar, Pastry Shop, Members' Room and Pro Shop Spa Centre with outdoor and indoor mineral water swimming pools, Roman Bath (thermi), Finnish Sauna, Turkish Bath (Hamam), private massage parlours, massage baths, beauty shop, contrast showers, Cleopatra Bath, personal changing rooms and other modern spa facilities Tennis courts, football, volleyball and basketball fields. Also in the area the Ihtima golf course. Ski info : The oldest Bulgarian winter resort is Borovets with a history from 1896! Today Borovets is the biggest and most modern resort in Bulgaria. It is situated on the conterminous Borovets col and on the northern slopes of the Mousala ridge in the eastern part of Rila. Huddled in venerable pine woods 1390 meters above the sea level (with highest pistes at 2600 m)makes it a perfect place for relax and recreation. The climate is also considered to be healthy. The winter in the resort is mild and of course with loads of snow! The average temperature during the coldest month January is 4.8?C. Usually the slopes of Borovets have snow cover from mid December till April. The air in Borovets is clear, free of any pollutants. Borovets is also easy accessible- 12 kilometers long first class road connects it with Samokov; Sofia (the capital of Bulgaria) is just 72 kilometers away. The real charm of Borovets can be felt during the winter. It is then when the harmony with the nature is complete.
