Property DescriptionThis 2-bedroom apartment is situated in a typical Bulgarian house at the harbour end of the 'Old' Town right on a small beach.
There are 2 bedrooms (sleeping 4) toilet & shower, fridge and satellite T.V. There is a balcony with truly stunning views over Sozopol Bay and St. John's Island.
Also in the same building is a double room (sleeping 2) with toilet & shower, fridge and satellite T.V.
Sozopol is divided into two parts - the 'Old' and the 'New' town - both with their own unique features.
The 'New' town is modern with a variety of shops, coffee bars, restaurants, bars and Internet cafes. It is here in the 'New' town that you will find the beautiful long, sandy Harmanite Beach, where you can either just relax and soak up the sun or take advantage of one of the many water sports on offer.
In the 'Old' town is the Central Beach. This is a long, sandy beach with many bars and a variety of places to eat built right on the beach.
No matter how many times you visit the 'Old' town you will never cease to be amazed by the beautiful winding, narrow, cobbled streets filled with fantastic wooden houses - some dating back to the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century.
Sozopol in the summer months is a thriving, exciting resort, The Old and the New Towns are linked together by the town park and here you can find many stalls selling ‘designer’ clothes, souvenirs and paintings by local artists. Street entertainers will keep you amused as you stroll by.
The climate on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast is typically Mediterranean with long hot summers and mild autumns. The average temperature during the summer months is 24 - 29 degrees centigrade, with an average of 8 to 11 hours sunshine per day. This makes the Sozopol area one of the sunniest in Bulgaria and gives the opportunity of sunbathing and swimming from May to October. Both the Old and New town have their own fantastic long golden sandy beach, which alternates with small rocky bays and sea caves, which jut out into the sea. Both beaches have sun beds, umbrellas, beachside bars and restaurants situated right on the beach and water sports - pedaloes, banana boats, jet skiing, ringos and scuba diving. There are a couple of trampolines and swings for the ‘the little ones’. For a couple of pounds, why not end your day on the beach with a soothing and relaxing massage – after all sunbathing is exhausting!
For those who are not into lying around in the sun, there are bars/restaurants on the beach with pool tables and arcade machines.
Small restaurants and bars overlooking the sea with fantastic views and great food can be found all along the edge of the Old Town. The seafood is must ! A pint of larger will set you back 40p and a three course meal, with wine, is under £5.
A large, varied selection of modern restaurants can be found in the the 'New' town and along the sea front of the Harmanite Beach.
