Property Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to stay in a typical Bulgarian house.

The apartment is the whole of the first floor and will sleep four persons, with an extra person using the sofa bed. An extra bed can be provided free of charge and up to three children aged 2 - 16 can go FREE when accompanied by two adults.

The property comprises of two bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, separate toilet and shower room. It is comfortably furnished and has an atmosphere that will welcome you.

There is a small beach only a few steps away and the main beach is just a 200 meter stroll along the harbour road where you can watch the fisherman as they return with their catch of the day.

The kitchen is well equipped and has a table and chairs where you can dine while admiring the views of the harbour and the sea.

There is a large balcony going right across the front of the apartment with patio furniture where you can enjoy lazy nights watching the sun go down with a glass of local wine.

Sozopol is the ideal destination for everyone who wants to get the best from their holiday. If it is lounging on the beach all day in the sun and late night partying, this is the place to be. Sozopol – said to be the oldest town in Bulgaria is divided into two parts. The Old Town to the north with its winding cobbled streets, stone and wooden houses and its unique history is a huge tourist attraction, playing host to visitors from all corners of the world.

Sozopol, rumored to become one of the most exclusive holiday resorts on the Southern Black Sea coast, with its fantastic golden beaches and long hot sunny days is the best un-discovered holiday destination in Bulgaria. As it is a relatively new holiday resort and, as yet, not widely promoted, prices are unbelievably cheap.

Small restaurants and bars overlooking the sea with fantastic views and great food can be found all along the edge of the Old Town. The seafood is not to be missed! A pint of larger will set you back 40p and a three course meal, with wine, is under £5.

Sozopol in the summer months is a thriving, exciting resort, The Old and the New Towns are linked together by the town park and here you can find many stalls selling ‘designer’ clothes, souvenirs and paintings by local artists. Street entertainers will keep you amused as you stroll by.

The New Town, in contrast, is full of modern hotels, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants and bars that stay open late into the night.

Why not wander down to the picturesque old harbour with its hundreds of fishing boats and watch the fishermen unloading their catch. Or take a leisurely tour of this remarkable town on one of the many gypsy horse and carriages lined up waiting for you in the town park.

After a hard day of swimming, eating, exploring and shopping, you can either relax with a drink at one of the numerous bars or cafes or dance the night away at one of the many venues catering for the ‘party animal’.

The climate on the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast is typically Mediterranean with long hot summers and mild autumns. The average temperature during the summer months is 24 - 29 degrees centigrade, with an average of 8 to 11 hours sunshine per day. This makes the Sozopol area one of the sunniest in Bulgaria and gives the opportunity of sunbathing and swimming from May to October.

Both the Old and New town have their own fantastic long golden sandy beach, which alternates with small rocky bays and sea caves, which jut out into the sea. Both beaches have sun beds, umbrellas, beachside bars and restaurants situated right on the beach and water sports - pedaloes, banana boats, jet skiing, ringos and scuba diving. There are a couple of trampolines and swings for the ‘the little ones’. For a couple of pounds, why not end your day on the beach with a soothing and relaxing massage – after all sunbathing is exhausting!

For those who are not into lying around in the sun, there are bars/restaurants on the beach with pool tables and arcade machines.

Local Activities

Water sports, sunbathing, exploring,

There is so much to do, you will find you don't have enough time to do everything.

Wander around the numerous market stalls selling a huge variety of goods.

Purchase 'designer'jeans, handbages and trainers at a fraction of the price you would pay anywhere else.

Take one of the many excursions on offer or, for the more adventurous, take a 2 day trip to Istanbul.

If you are a 'history' lover, you will be amazed by the history of Sozopol - which is said to be the oldest town in Bulgaria.

Just outside Sozopol there is an archeological 'dig' in progress.

At night Sozopol is a vibrant, energetic place. There are many bars, clubs and night clubs which stay open till the early hours.

Especially recommended is the ‘Tequilla Bar’, which is a floating platform down at the harbour. It gets extremely crowded and is very lively as is ‘The Living Room’ next door. This has a huge dance floor and luxurious chairs to sink into while you sip your cocktails – which will cost under £1. What more could you ask for!!
