This brand new first floor studio apartment is suitable for a couple or single traveller. Fully furnished and brand new it provides a comfortable base for your skiing holiday.

The fine medieval Town of Bansko is situated in south western Bulgaria at the foothills of the Pirin Mountains, one of the most beauitiful Bulgarian mountain ranges which is both a National Nature Reserve and a Wolrd Heritage Site. Skiing conditions are excellent as Pirin has a predominantly alpine natire with 3 peaks towernig above 2900m. Bansko has a long winter season which runs from mid-December to mid-May. Skiers of all abilities are well catered for as Bansko has over 65km of marked ski runs which are easily accessed by the new Gondola lift system. In summer hiking , mountain biking and horse riding are popular.

Bansko probably offers the best apres ski in Bulgaria because of its unique combination of a modern mountain resort and a living rustic town with a population of 10,000 people. Apres ski is centered around local 'Mehanas'friendly taverna style restaurants serving traditional Bulgarian cusine and drinks, often with roaring log fires and live entertainment. Todora Towers is just a 5 minute walk from the Old Town where there are around 100 Mehanas. The apartment is also just a minutes walk from the fantastic Happy End Disco Bar for those who wish to party. And if you require a little luxury and pampering the Kempinski Hotel is literally just over the road where there are 5* restaurants and fantastic spa facilities avalible to non residents at very reasonable rates.

Local Activities

Bansko is the best developed ski resort in Eastern Europe, a substansial investment of 130 million Euros has been made in new mountain facilities including the new gondola lift station which takes skiiers up to the mid mountain area at 1725m, where a network of smaller lifts takes you to the highest point of 2560m. This gives a huge vertical drop of 1570m, and he run back into the valley is 17km long. The final 7km is floodlit and covered by snow cannon. Bansko has an electronic hands free lift pass system and Bulgarias first terrain park with half-pipe. The winter season is long and runs from mid December to May. The Ulen Ski School is recommended by the Ski Club of Great Britain and most instructors speak good English.
