Property DescriptionThis delightful apartment is on the third floor of the newly built Todorini Kuli building situated in the best possible location for both summer and winter visitors, less than a minute’s walk from the gondola ski lift and five minutes walk from Bansko old town with it’s traditional ‘mahenas’ (tavernas). The apartment also has secure parking, it’s own large ski locker in the basement and is manned 24 hours a day. The apartment is tastefully decorated showcasing the unique work of some of the local artisans and has stunning views of the Pirin and Rhodopi mountain ranges.
The elegant 5 star Kempinski Hotel is opposite and like most of the new hotels in Bansko it offers it’s leisure facilities to non residents for a local fee. No matter what time of year you choose to stay in Bansko there is always plenty to do and see. Staying so close to the old area means you will experience this amazing town and it’s authentic ancient architecture, atmosphere and traditions with historic monuments and museums dating back to the 10th century. The winter visitor can return from an exhausting day on the slopes and can either pop across the road to the Happy End Bar or take a short walk for a choice of over 100 restaurants and bars. A good meal including wine and beer costs around £7 and the food is freshly cooked and excellent.
A five minute walk from the door takes you to the base of the Pirin mountain and summer visitors can experience spectacular walking and cycling through the stunning pine forests enjoying the infamous picnicking sites constructed by local people.
During August a traditional Jazz festival is held in the town, providing a fabulous atmosphere and superb music. There are also many wine tasting and folk festivals in the area, Bulgarian wine is very drinkable partly because of the wonderful flavour and partly because of the price !
